Welcome to My Heart Rocks by Amy Dykens
I’m pretty sure that I started beachcombing the instant I was born, or at least as soon as I could stand up and bend over. Beach stones have always made me feel happy and at peace. I feel very connected to the beach and my daily beach walks bring me a sense of peace, place, and joy. It is on these walks that I began collecting heart rocks and eventually photographing them. The more I photographed them, the more hooked I became eventually travelling to places to go rockhounding and photography. Some of my most cherished times have been walking beaches with friends and family, near and far, looking for this universal symbol of love, carved through time. My Heart Rocks represents many trips to beaches, many walks, and many heart rock discoveries which became a collection of cherished photos I wanted to share. Thank you for visiting and for thinking beach stones are awesome too…...rock on!
